Dentist won’t accept another dentist’s x-rays?

If a potential dentist won’t accept x-rays from another dentist, especially when your x-rays are over a year old, see another dentist. Seriously, x-rays should not be a way for them to make money. Examinations from one dentist should be good enough for another to work with. This should be a red flag that this dentist only cares about making money. And why isn’t more research done to see why some people don’t get cavities? There must be some genetic or biological reason, why some are less prone.

I had complete x-rays taken last week. I want another opinion, but the new dentist won’t accept the x-rays of the other dentist. It revolves around just 1 tooth, which would be fine, but he wants a complete new set. He also wants a complete new dental exam.
A week ago the dental exam and x-rays cost $375. This new dentist only wants $325. This is insane. My insurance only covers a minimum amount of the first dentist.
    Money is the only reason.
