Time Warner Cable Internet prices go up

Time Warner just increased their prices. Basic Internet was $34.99 a month at 3Mbps and $49.99 for Standard Internet at 10mbps (it had already jumped up from 44.99 a few months ago). Now its $49.99 for 3Mbps and $54.99 for 10Mbps. So for more than triple the bandwidth you just pay $5. While that seems a no brainer, the people that were trying to save a some money with 3Mbps (which is fine for just basic web surfing, email and maybe the occasional youtube video) are pretty much screwed by the high price of internet service. We really need more ISPs for better competition. Unforunately even Clear has raised their prices to match, so you really can’t win.
