Why does Wal-Mart lock up all the Battery Chargers at Night?

I know Wal-Mart lockups all the batteries at night behind a metal gate (one that even managers don’t have access to) to prevent theft, but you would think they would leave the battery chargers, cables and other accessories available for people to purchase. When all the auto parts stores are closed, a Super Wal-Mart would be handy for people to get there equipment at late hours.
